Sanlam Group Risk
The Insured Benefits Management Committee is excited to share that following negotiations with Sanlam Group Risk, pooled participating employers (sub-funds with fewer than 400 members) will be upgraded from the Standard Critical Illness insurance to the Comprehensive Critical Illness insurance on 1 September 2025 at no additional cost.
It is important to note that:
- The Standard Critical Illness insurance has been closed to new business effective 1 April 2025 and only the Comprehensive Critical Illness insurance will be available.
- Existing participating employers comprising 400 or more members currently covered under the Standard Critical Illness insurance will retain their benefit until a formal amendment to the Comprehensive Critical Illness insurance is requested and accepted.
