The Board of Trustees of the Sanlam Umbrella Fund is proud to announce that the Institute of Retirement Funds Africa (IRFA) has recognised the Fund’s achievements and awarding the Fund with the following accolades:
- Best-in-Class trophy for umbrella fund governance for the entry: Implementation of an Integrated Governance Assurance Approach
- Best -in-Class trophy for umbrella fund investments for the entry: The redesign of the Sanlam Lifestage Accumulation Portfolio
- Gold standard certificate for an umbrella fund communication project for the entry: The Fund’s Annual General Meeting
- A Special merit certificate for engagement with stakeholders at the Sanlam Umbrella Fund Annual General Meeting
This is the fourth year that the Fund is recognised by the IRFA for implementing best practices in their strategies and programmes. The IRFA is a non-political body which represents and promotes the interests of the retirement industry in Southern Africa, to the ultimate benefit of members of retirement funds.
We believe that The Sanlam Umbrella Fund has played a leading role in the South African retirement funding landscape by pioneering developments across a number of dimensions in order to improve member outcomes.
These IRFA awards, in addition to being named as the FIA EB Product Supplier of the Year, serve to reaffirm our position as the industry leader in empowering better financial outcomes for members.
