San-Marié Crause joined Sanlam Corporate: Group Risk as Managing Executive on 1 May 2023. Before joining Sanlam, she had a varied career in financial services. As Chief Marketing Actuary at Gen Re Africa she was an integral part of the leadership team that helped them grow and become a dominant player in South Africa for life and health reinsurance. San-Marié was also the Head of Retail Risk Product Development, Head of Retail Investment Product Development as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the Product Solutions business unit at Old Mutual. She is a passionate traveler and has visited more than 40 countries during her travels.
