Reality Access for SGR loyalty programme – supplying member contact details

As previously communicated, Sanlam Group Risk (SGR) is not allowed to share members’ contact information with Sanlam Reality, due to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) which came into full effect in July 2021.  Members are required to supply their contact information directly to Sanlam Reality to unlock some of their lifestyle benefits, such as the Grocery Discount coupons benefit, quarterly newsletters and access to the IVY Online education platform.

To gain full access to the exclusive range of lifestyle benefits, Sanlam Reality has now enhanced the process for SGR members wanting to supply or update their contact details:

  • A dedicated webpage has been created on Sanlam Reality’s website. SGR members can unlock all their lifestyle benefits by using the following direct link to the campaign webpage: Sanlam Group Risk | Sanlam Reality
  • To make it easy for policyholders (employers) to create awareness amongst their members (employees) regarding this enhanced process, we have created the following flyer that the policyholder can make available to members through the appropriate communication channels, e.g. the employer’s Intranet webpage, or emailed directly to employees.
  • Members can also access the campaign page from the SGR Access landing page on Sanlam Reality’s website, by selecting the option to “Unlock your benefits” or “Update contact details”.

The Reality Access for SGR programme guide has been updated with the enhanced process and can be downloaded from the Sanlam website.

Universal Education benefit – Dial-a-Teacher service discontinued

As from 1 October 2022, the Dial-a-Teacher value-added service provided by Sanlam Trust for Universal Education Protection (UEP) claimants’ children will be discontinued.

Sanlam Trust is currently piloting an App-based service, providing a similar type of support.  The availability of the new app, and any developments in this regard, will be communicated as soon as it is opened to UEP claimants’ children.
