2017 Trustee Report
The Trustee Report for 2017 was released by the Board of Trustees. The report provides all Fund stakeholders with a view of tools and strategies embedded by the Fund in the last decade, as well as a glimpse into the future of the Retirement Fund Industry.
Adjudicator: Compensation orders for unlawful withholding of the benefit
Two recent adjudicator cases highlights the need for consultants to ensure their clients do not default in this regard.
Increased advice fees to advisers for in-fund options
The new fees will allow room for the adviser to provide appropriate advice to members and still receive a fair remuneration for services rendered.
Tax numbers required for Section 14 transfers
With effect 1 March 2017, all retirement funds will be required to apply for a tax directive in respect of members transferring to the fund by means of a Section 14.

The Administration team needs sufficient notice in order to implement an amendment.
