The Sanlam Umbrella Fund has demonstrated its commitment to helping members improve their retirement outcomes through various platforms. Amongst these is the Imali Zam (My Money) Member Education Sessions.
The sessions are aimed at helping members to better understand their savings and benefits. Educating members to use the tools available to them is a critical strategy for empowering them to engage with their benefits to improve their retirement outcomes.
The next Imali Zam Member Education Session is scheduled for 21 July 2022. The virtual webinar will focus on:
- Updating or nominating death and funeral beneficiaries on the Sanlam Member Portal
- Understanding the difference between nominees and dependents
- How beneficiary allocations work
- Accessing Individual Member Services
During the interactive session, Members will also have an opportunity to engage and ask questions pertaining to the topics or their retirement fund benefits.
We encourage our intermediaries and employers to support this education initiative and help promote it to their members.
The Sanlam Umbrella Fund will, closer to the time, invite members directly – where we have contact details. Members will need to register for the event, and a reminder email will be sent before the session.
