Each year, the Sanlam Umbrella Fund hosts its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in various venues across the country. This is a forum for Fund members, participating employers and intermediaries to engage with the Fund’s Board of Trustees, put forward any questions directly to the trustees and gain insight into the Fund’s activities over the past year. The first two meetings, held in Cape Town and Johannesburg on 10 and 11 September respectively, were conducted in a debate style rather than the customary presentation style. The Fund received positive feedback from attendees, with most saying that they enjoyed the new format and found the information shared relevant and valuable. We are happy to report that the attendance at the two events was up by 23% on previous years. For those who missed the Cape Town and Johannesburg sessions, we hope that you will be able to make it next year.
