We’re excited to announce that Blake Beilings has been appointed as the new Deputy Principal Officer of the Sanlam Umbrella Fund and Sanlam Unity Umbrella Fund, effective 15 April 2024.
Blake holds an LLB degree and is an admitted Advocate who spent some years in practice as legal counsel in various areas of law. He holds a Certificate in Sales Management from IMM Graduate School of Marketing and is pursuing an LLM degree in Commercial Law. Blake practiced as an accredited court-annexed mediator in various courts. He has experience in retirement fund administration and as a Legal Advisor in the retirement fund industry. His experience includes employment at a Bargaining Council, Department of Justice and Legal-Aid. Notably, he was employed as an Assistant Adjudicator at the Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator.
Appointment of Deputy Fund Secretariat
Gabriella Manuel has also been appointed as the Deputy Fund Secretariat. Gabriella is an accomplished and versatile professional with a distinguished track record of achievements within the insurance industry. She has a comprehensive background encompassing positions within the major banks and two major insurers. In her most recent role as a Complaints Manager at Sanlam Corporate, Gabriella demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and honed her skills by implementing improved processes and structures.
