[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As Administrators of the Sanlam Umbrella Fund, we undertook an exercise to capture all members’ medical underwriting statuses on our administration system. This was done based on data downloads supplied by our two insurers. This development helped us to service our clients more efficiently, by identifying members who need to go for medicals timeously requesting important information as soon as possible. We are pleased to report that the procedure is operating smoothly and has proved to be beneficial in many ways. Amongst other things it has enabled us to indicate the correct status on member benefit statements and operational reports.
