Sanlam Umbrella Fund has introduced an administration fee to maintain transparency in its operations and to cover the necessary administrative expenses associated with Emergency Savings Pot withdrawals.

The September 2024 version of The Fund in Detail is now available. Apart from text refinements, updates include the revision of the Group Insurance risk management fees, an updated investment menu and modifications in line with administrative requirements of two-pot system.

With the two-pot system fast approaching, it is critical that we find innovative ways to share information to enhance member education. To enable real time communication with members, we have incorporated WhatsApp communication as part of our new member onboarding and lifestage experience.

Since April 2022, the Sanlam Umbrella Fund has extended the benefit counselling services to beneficiaries of members who have passed away in respect of Group Life Insurance, as well as members receiving payments in respect of Lump Sum Disability Insurance or Critical Illness Insurance. This is to ensure that both the members and beneficiaries have access to relevant information and receive financial advice to help them manage their benefits.
