An update to the Sanlam Umbrella Fund extended benefit counselling services
Since April 2022, the Sanlam Umbrella Fund has extended the benefit counselling services to beneficiaries of members who have passed away in respect of Group Life Insurance, as well as members receiving payments in respect of Lump Sum Disability Insurance or Critical Illness Insurance. This is to ensure that both the members and beneficiaries have access to relevant information and receive financial advice to help them manage their benefits.

PricewaterhouseCoopers South Africa appointed as the auditor of the Sanlam Umbrella Funds
Following an extensive tender process over the past year, the Board resolved on 6 March 2024 to appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers as the new auditor of the Sanlam Umbrella Pension Fund and Sanlam Umbrella Provident Fund starting from the financial year ending 31 December 2023.
Sanlam Umbrella Fund risk premiums decrease for the second year in a row
The Sanlam Umbrella Fund has completed the 2024 annual revision of risk premiums, and the new premium rates became effective on 1 April 2024. The Insured Benefits Management Committee are pleased to announce that overall risk premiums have decreased for the second year in a row!
